今年8月, 权力的游戏 fans around the world were eager to return to the fabled world of Westeros in HBO's 前传 series 龙之家. 满帆 名人堂 member Stephen打转 is Senior Vice President, Production Operations at HBO and HBO Max, and he leads production and post-production teams on the series, which also features the work of several other 满帆 graduates in roles including VFX 艺术 Director, 索具艺术家, 和更多的. Stephen returned to campus to celebrate the return of the Targaryens with students and faculty at an event featuring food, 影迷, 还有很多龙.

"I think that 满帆 is such an incredible incubator for such amazing talent that to bring something here is to have it appreciated at a level that I'm not going to get in a bar in Burbank,斯蒂芬说。 on bringing 龙之家 to students on campus. "These are not just fans because it's a great product and a great genre piece, these are fans because they appreciate the craft that goes into making something like this. What better place to share the world's greatest television shows than with the future of the film and television industry?"

On stage inside the 满帆 Live Venue, Stephen打转, 瑞克拉姆塞, and Leslie Brathwaite hold mics and stand before a large screen showing the fiery 龙之家 logo.

The new series makes extensive use of virtual production to place actors directly into the sprawling landscapes of the fantasy universe, something 满帆 students are getting first-hand experience doing at the recently opened Studio V1.

"Now we have the technology to do something we're very familiar with and the school is starting to do now…virtual production,斯蒂芬说。. "So instead of having to be out in the middle of nowhere Northern Ireland where it's raining sideways and there is mud up to your knees, we're able to put people comfortably on a stage and render these environments that would be either impossible or too expensive for us to build."
